But the remake of RE4 lacks the overall horror vibe of the Original. The game feels like a generic third-person shooter in comparison, and it doesn’t have the same atmosphere and simplicity that made the original so compelling and scarier to play. Although the graphics have been improved and there is more gore, these changes do not make up for the lack of technical limitations that relied on less movement to impose decisions during combat. The remake is lacking in tension and fear of making wrong choices, which were the key factors that make the original so unique. The new cut scenes have diminished the horror influences that the game is trying to present with moments of fear and dread but replaced them with satire action and mild jump scares, making the game look corny in comparison to the original. Ultimately, the removal of U3 boss fight which is one of the most terrifying enemy in the original raises a huge red flag for this garbage remake.

I like that the occult side of Las Plagas is leaned into more in the remake, as well as the relationships between the characters visibly developing. Doesnt feel as earned in the original.

I love both but BTN will always have such a STRONG place in my heart. I hated and LOVED this game with every piece of my soul. I'm about to replay it again soon just because the itch is coming back. I plan on getting the new version as well as Harvest Moon Boy & Girl for PSP so I can compare. My sister and I LOVED HM growing up and that itch will never truly go away and I don't mind at all LOL

It saddens me that theres so much comparison between these two games and complaints about what dl2 didnt do that dl1 did etc etc. Even now techland is doing what they can to make the game better yet people still cant find enjoyment out of it because its not what the first game was like. I just wish people can enjoy these types of games and stop complaining unnecessarily its like the last of us 1 and 2 all over again.
